Shop & print orders

The shop sells photographs as prints. Buyers pay your studio through Stripe. Prodigi is the print lab used for product information and fulfillment; it charges your studio for producing and shipping prints.

Current fulfillment: Zone 5 records paid orders, but you must place each order with Prodigi yourself. Automatic submission and shipping updates are not yet provided. Checkout currently supports US shipping.

Connect the services

An owner connects Stripe and Prodigi under Settings → Connections. Prodigi test mode uses its sandbox; use live credentials when you are ready for actual printing. Check Stripe's payment mode separately: Prodigi test mode does not turn a live card payment into a test payment.

Create your price sheet

Under Shop → Print sizes, add the Prodigi product code, look up the product, name the size and set your prices and shipping.

Each size can have a Shop price and a separate Price in client galleries. Leaving the gallery price empty keeps that size out of client galleries. Check the displayed production and shipping costs when deciding what to charge.

Publish pieces and open the shop

1. Upload public-use photographs to Photos.
2. In Shop, choose New piece, select the photograph and add its title and story.
3. Select the print sizes and optionally override their prices for that piece.
4. Review the print-quality and crop information, then publish.
5. Preview the public /shop page while signed in. Choose Open the shop when ready.

Before opening, studio members can preview content that visitors cannot see. Opening requires the payment and print connections and a published piece. Closing hides the public shop again.

Print quality

Each size checks the original photograph's pixel dimensions. Sharp and Usable indicate the expected detail; Too small prevents that size being offered. Prints fill the paper, so the crop preview matters as much as the resolution.

Private gallery albums cannot supply public shop pieces. Keep approved public selections in separate albums.

Gallery print sales

Set gallery prices in Print sizes and enable Clients can order prints on a gallery. These sales do not require the public shop to be open. They use the same payment and order handling, while keeping the gallery photographs private.

Handle a paid order

Open Print orders, check the product, shipping address and print-file information, then place the order manually with Prodigi. The order page provides the original-file access needed for that handoff. Monitor fulfillment in Prodigi while the automated workflow is unfinished.

Process print-order refunds in Stripe; the order's refund information updates from payment events. Refunds alone do not cancel an order you already placed with the lab, so coordinate that separately.
