Client galleries

A client gallery delivers photographs for one project. It presents one or more albums from Photos and controls who can open them, download originals or order prints.

  1. Upload the photographs to their own album in Photos and wait for processing.
  2. Open the project and choose New gallery.
  3. Select the albums and their display order.
  4. Choose download, print-ordering and expiry settings.
  5. Save, copy the link and passcode, and use Preview to check the result.

An album used publicly, such as on the portfolio or in marketing, cannot be used in a private client gallery. The album picker explains why a choice is unavailable.

Access and passcodes

Gallery guests need the link and passcode. Copy the passcode when it is created: it is shown once. If you lose it, use Set a new passcode, then share the replacement with the client.

A client signed in to their client page with access to the project can open its gallery without entering the shared passcode. Use that access for clients who also need estimates, contracts and invoices.

Setting a new passcode invalidates existing guest sessions. Turn gallery off or expiry ends client and guest access to the gallery. These controls cannot retrieve photographs someone already downloaded or saved.

Downloads and prints

Original downloads are off until you enable Clients can download the original of each photo. This offers individual originals; a whole-gallery ZIP download is not currently part of the workflow.

For print sales, configure Stripe, Prodigi and at least one print size with a Price in client galleries, then enable Clients can order prints. Each photo offers only sizes it has enough pixels for. These orders appear with other print orders, even if your public shop is closed.

Share the gallery link and passcode separately when practical. Keep project invitations, gallery access and download permission aligned with what you agreed to deliver.
